Forensic Image Analysis

I was provided with a disc image copied from a Windows PC to investigate an employee that was potentially stealing and sharing confidential company data to an unknown actor.

I utilized different forensics tools such as Autopsy, JohnTheRipper, and various EXIF tools to assist me with building a detailed report that painted a picture as to how the employee was stealing data, what data was stolen, and where the stolen data was transferred to. Afterwards, I submitted the report to the CFSS team, completing my internship. While performing this work, I was able to flex my critical thinking, research, and documentation skills.
